This week my guest is Meredith Andrews, she is a singer/songwriter, wife, and mom to 3.  You have probably heard several of Meredith’s songs including “Not for a Moment,” “Spirit of the Living God,” and several of the songs form the Belonging Co’s most recent AMAZING album.  I was surprised to have so much in common with Meredith, and the season she is in spoke so much to the season that so many of us (moms especially) find ourselves in these days.  Juggling the full time job of being a wife and mom, as well as pursuing God sized dreams, but also trusting Him in the waiting.

Meredith talked about her journey to becoming a successful Christian music artist and how she attempts to balance her life with her family and this demanding career.  She shed some serious wisdom about trusting God with your dreams and not forcing and pushing our way through to the outcome we think we want.  I know you will love Meredith and our sincere and authentic conversation!

You probably recognize my guest this week from the wildy popular show “Duck Dynasty.”  Missy is the wife of Jase and momma to 3.  Missy and her daughter Mia, have just written a book series for tween girls that teaches really valuable lessons for kids that are at a tough age, called Princess in Camo.

Missy and I got to talk about Mia’s diagnosis with cleft lip and palate, which Missy learned about very late in her pregnancy with Mia.  She shared with me about that experience and how she has learned to deal with trauma as she watched her daughter undergo major surgeries from birth.  I also got to ask Missy about what life has been like for her family and how the show changed their lives so dramatically.  I can tell you this, Missy is the real deal.  She loves Jesus and she knows without a doubt the reason they were put in the spotlight is to spread the good news about Him.  I loved hearing from her, and I was so pleasantly surprised with her authenticity.  I hope you enjoy this episode and be sure to share it with a friend!

This week I had such an amazing conversation with my friend in real life, Lindsay McCaul!  Lindsay is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader, who has toured with some of the biggest names in Christian music including Casting Crowns and Brandon Heath.  Lindsay shared her story with me about walking away from touring right before the birth of her son, even though she was having lots of success in her music career.  Sometimes God asks us to lay things down, even if we don’t fully understand why in the moment, and we talked about that tension.  We also talked about our struggles with eating disorders in our younger years and freedom from that, Praise God!

Lindsay is so warm and encouraging, and I am so blessed to call her a friend.  She is also amazingly talented, go check out out some of her music linked below!

On this episode my guest is Emily Chapman Richards, you might recognize her name maiden name, because she is the daughter of the one and only Steven Curtis Chapman!  However, Emily is doing her own thing these days as the Assistant Executive Director and Vice President at Show Hope, a nationally recognized voice for adoption advocacy and orphan care support work.  She shared with me how the dream of Show Hope began in her family and what it has grown into today.

We also talked about being a full time working wife and momma to 3 littles girls, it ain’t easy!  And, of course, we had to chat a little about what it was like growing up as Steven Curtis Chapman’s daughter.  Emily was so down to earth and relatable, I just loved getting to know her through our conversation.

Side note: Check out my conversation with Katelyn Fuson about her adoption story that was sparked by Show Hope in Episode 17.

This week my guest is a fellow podcaster, Hunter Beless.  Hunter is a military wife, mom of two little girls, and host of The Journey Women podcast.  Obviously, we had a a lot in common to discuss about motherhood and podcasting, but she also shared about her (unexpected) life, living on a military base.

Hunter is passionate about the bible and mentoring woman through the guests on her podcast in various areas of faith.  We chatted about surrendering control as moms, feeling called to start something, but also knowing that her calling as a wife and mom takes precedent over everything else.  I loved getting to know Hunter, and I was so encouraged by our conversation to keep seeking God above all else, and He will direct our steps.
