I said this on the episode, but this interview was such a full circle moment for me! This week my guest is country music artist, Cyndi Thomson. I was huge fan of Cyndi’s back in my early teen years, I know every word to her number one song “I Always Liked that Best!” We happened to connect via Instagram recently, and I realized we had some mutual friends. I had no idea about Cyndi’s story, but I felt like God was nudging me to have her on the podcast. To my surprise, she said yes and I got to hear all about life since those days when I was singing along to her songs in the early 2000s.
So much has happened in Cyndi’s life, she has heard God speak in a way that you don’t hear about every day, and she has been obedient to Him when no one else understood her decisions. She walked away from her extremely successful music career, when she was literally the “it” girl of country music as a 25 year because God asked her to. This one will have you on pins and needles! Oh and her Georgia accent is so pleasant to listen to, that’s just a bonus!

Well, here it is folks, my conversation with New York Times Best Selling author, Mo Isom. Mo is a wife and mom of two little girls, and she is talking and writing about something that is hard but imperative. She’s basically walking into the darkness with a flashlight, shining light on a topic we just don’t talk about very much in the church, sexual sin.
Mo is coming at this as someone who gets it, she’s been there, she admits in her book that she was addicted to pornography form a young age and engaged in sexual sin before marriage. She is talking about this because the statistics are staggering, we are living in a world SATURATED with pornography and sexual sin, yes even in the church. We are all touched by this in some way, I even shared some of my own experiences in this area with Mo. We have to start talking about this and confessing it in order to be healed. The enemy loves for us to stay in secret, thinking we are totally alone in our struggles. Well, we aren’t, we are all in this fight, now let’s acknowledge it and go to war against it.
